This Techinal instruction applies only to re-signalling schemes using any type of CBI to which it is required to interface TPWS, excluding SSI, which already has an established range of interface methods appropriate to different re-signalling or retro-fitment scenarios.

Particular solutions have been developed for SSI installations, which are relevant to the particular restrictions of the SSI interlocking, and hence these may vary from the principles outlined here.
