This paper presents a sensitivity analysis of hour-by-hour energy use simulations in buildings for successive steps of weather data compression. The energy and loads model is the ENERCALC program developed at Texas A&M University and is driven by a statistical weather simulation model. The compression of weather data covers the range of 31 days per month down to 7 days per month. Computer run costs are also reported.
