The objectives of this slide presentation were to: provide and overview of City of Henderson
and the Department of Utility Services;
discuss Henderson's Utility Network
(Hennet) Historian project;
relate how Hennet Historian project
fits into our overall supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system
replacement strategy;
provide an overview of proof-of-concept
methodology;
describe the benefits, considerations
and challenges of using the proof-of-concept
methodology in this project; and,
discuss the proof-of-concept results. Project history consists of: current system is DEC VAX SCADA
system implemented in 1994;
historian module never met the City's
needs;
Need - Historian that can turn the
SCADA data into useful information; and,
currently using in-house developed
Oracle based application as work around. The presentation outlines the overall SCADA replacement fit, proof-of-concept phases; system parameters; TMV systems engineering; benefits; considerations; challenges; results and conclusions.
