Experiments were conducted to study a variety of factors that might affect the formation of disinfection byproducts during chlorination and chloramination. These factors included reaction time, pH, dose and temperature. The effect of pH on the formation of brominated and iodinated disinfection byproducts was also studied. Additional experiments were conducted to examine the effect of corrosion control chemicals on the stability of disinfection byproducts. Includes 10 references, table, figures.
