Introduction

This instruction details the installation of compression lugs for aluminium, copper and copperply conductors on both AC and DC Electrified Lines.

This instruction does not cover the selection of lugs: Lugs are to be selected from approved drawings.

Wire brushes used on copper conductors, components or parts must never be used on aluminium.
