Introduction
This instruction covers the procedure for routine inspection and secondary injection testing of T.F.H. protection relays.
Defects found during the course of the work, whether within the scope of this instruction or not, must be noted on the Record Sheet and dealt with at the same time if possible.
Before commencing any work, which is likely to affect any auxiliary power supplies, including stand-by supplies, the user must be consulted.
The examination and testing should be carried out every two years, but may be increased at the discretion of the Local Engineer where local conditions require it.
Staff are reminded that before any work is carried out on any equipment, the necessary ISOLATION and SAFETY procedure must be carried out, as appropriate.
Refer to the manufacturer's maintenance manual where necessary.
Ensure that all necessary details associated with Maintenance work are entered in the switching station log book and signed before leaving site.
